The officers this year were: Paul Bauer - president, Jim Reid - vice-president, Mike Hayes - secretary, Rick Bauer - treasurerg Dean Brett - reporter, and Greg Stafford - sen- tinel. The group was advised by Mr. Art Heideman. The boys maintained a farm themselves and in doing so, learned about farm main- tenance. On the farm located near Sterling Junior High School, was an orchard of 1 1X2 acres and a corral for the boys' steers. The boys also entered projects in the Waterville and Cashmere Fairs as well as completing individual projects such as trailer building. Oh! So that's what an apple looks like.

FTA Following the National FTA motto, Who dares to teach must never cease to learn, the Eastmont Chapter of FTA, under the leadership of Ray Trotter--presidentg Rielle Davis--vice-presidentg Virginia de Desrochers--secretary, Sherrion Vickery--treasurer, and Miss Bailey--advisor, participated in an active year. In October, sev- eral members attended the Northeast District Conference at North Central High School in Spokane. The success of this venture led to a return trip for a college conference. Other high points in the year included an ex- change with the Quincy FTA and a plan for more evening meetings. Visiting the East Wenatchee School to observe the elementary teachers at work was the most rewarding long-term activity engaged in by the club members and led them the furthest along the road of learning.
