Under the able leadership ol our student X body president, Jerry Tucker, and assisted by Gary Brett--vice-president, Sally English --secretary, and Mid Fryhovcr--treasurer, the Student-Presidents' Council served as the student legislative body for Eastmont students this year. There were several standing committees, such as the Dance Committee and Election Committee, whose functions were to see that the activities and elections of Eastmont High Were carried out with maximum efficiency. National Honor Society, the scholastic organization of Eastmont High, had as its officers this year: Sue Hazen--president, Linda Cartwright--vice-presidentg Barb Parkhil1--secre- taryg Kathy J ohns--treasurer. Honor Society's activities this year included the annual installation of new officers, initia- tion of new members, and a banquet honoring the senior members of Honor Society. A new project was sponsoring a scholarship for an Honor Society Senior. To become a member of Honor Society, a student must have at least a 3. 25 grade point average and be approved by all members of the faculty. The membership swelled to 85 this year.
