THE CL S UFl940 As a Junior Class, I fear we cannot take credit for any more than the traditional activities of the third year. That is to say, we have inaugurated no new activities but have merely followed the examples of our illustrious predecessors. We like to think, however, that the activities under- taken were successful. Through correspondence during the sum- mer and personal contact when school opened at the end of September the girls, and in turn, the boys of our class tried to do a good part by the entering lassies as big sisters , but it wasn't long until the so-called little sisters might well have taken some of us under their wing. Q By this time the Harvest Season, which being translated to an Eastman student means 'cider and doughnut time,' was in full swing and we celebrated the occasion with the annual I-lallowe'en Barn Dancelin East Rochester . . . a real hill-billy outing, attended and thoroughly enjoyed by Faculty and Student Body alike. . ' Last year's junior Class rather uncon- sciously but nevertheless effectively made the Eastman Formal a class activity and we followed suit with something of an Old Home Weekend, declared a success by all who attended. This year the idea of a Formal Queen was introduced and most enthusiastically received. In fact, with one 'more year's polishing, the whole weekend affair should prove a highly successful institution, both from an enter- tainment and a financial standpoint. Here's to next year's Juniors in the undertaking, in fact, in all their undertakings! The major activity of the Juniors in past years seems to have been the SCGRE, and far be it from us to belittle. lt seems a bit late in the day as well as a bit out of place either to exalt or drag down the SCORE at this point . that, we leave to you. You will be tolerant, won't you? SARAH JANE SIMMONS, Secretary. b ,IZ il. X A iii ,.. 1 I. ' 4.5 ff, v l MJF iii - ,Nas nc ,-, fl v,fQQ1,iE-5 ' . Qfffl, b Vygv 'A E ri. si.
