Preparing an annual is a year long project. Many long, hard hours are spent in and out of the school year. Planning the ladder, covering all events, developing and printing photos, preparing the layouts and copy: not to mention a week at annual camp, selling ads, selling annuals, then distributing the final edition and hoping it will be enjoyed by one and all. 25 FHA - Todciy's People Jr. 84 Sr. Members L to R lst row: Williams, Garrett, Owen, Alexander, Blackmon, Jones, Downard, Neese, May, Plowman, Wallace, Rose 2nd row L to R: Galley, Simmons, Sanders, Maston, Grubbs, Krantz, Crabtree, Crabtree Hoffmann, Golden, Elliott, Williams, Webster, Wheat, 3rd row L to R: Lobstein, Scott, Elliott, Adair, Maxwell, Koen, Trout, Coleman, Amburn, Neese, Counter, Adams, Bradley, Phelps, Herrera, Fox, Stone, Moore. Every journey must have a beginning and an end, a first big step and a last step. The ring presentation ceremony is the first step on the jour- ney through a senior year. The ring brings many feelings to the seniors, pride in their accomplishments thus far, anticipation of the fun of sen- ior year, and hopes of graduation. For the seniors the ring is a goal achieved, for the underclassmen it symbolizes a goal to work toward. As the senior year iourney continues, many smaller steps are taken through football season, basketball games, track meets, tennis tourna- ments, band contests, golf meets, English tests, Christmas holidays, snowball fights, college days, senior parties, the Prom, and Graduation rehearsal. And finally one day when you least expect it comes GRADUA- TlONl! The Cmegci Graduation is the end of the senior iourney, yet in the journey of life it is only the end of a path and the beginning of a winding road. lt is the culmination of twelve years of hard work, good times, sad times, friend- ships, and unforgettable events. Graduation brings pride in accom- plishments, yet sorrow at leaving friends at EHS. A graduate must take a giant step from his childhood to young adult- hood. This step is exciting yet frightening. As they go forth, the future challenges each of the graduates of 1978 to work hard, aim high, never give up, and be the best you can be! 89 -PQ!-i1Tf1 if , Q -f , 'W ' 'fry ef .h. m.,A ,- A 5727 'f'9g.l 1fxsi I Keith And Pai Receive Highest Honors yy k.vS5y .a' aw 1' at P' ziiigfgifi + 3 Y J, ,'- 5 'pi' 1 K 4 , in-K 'JK ' -24' ff- 50 M . -iff . . , 1 wkff?:'Jf.1rr .. 5 we Jr 1, Y 2 5i5Q1wa4V ikfff ' ' ' A Valedictorian Salutatorian Keith Bulgerin Patricia Phillips 95.1 Average 93.75 Average UIQ! Eight years to locate and puuchase the right site, order equipment, plan and build a li 'te-fueled power plant, obtain approvals from all regugt-:Dry agencies, and then test the plant's operation carefully It takes even longer for a nuclear- fueled plant- 10 to 12 years. Right now Texas Electric is having to build expen- sive new plants that generate electricity with coal and nuclear fuel. This way in the years ahead, our generation will have the electricity it needs for a lot ogimportant things- homemaking, jobs, education, health cane and cleaning up the envilronment.
