PRO MERITO SOCIETY Pro Merito is an honorary society composed of students who have acquired a general average of B or above in their major subjects. It is a state organization with chapters in about fifty high schools throughout Massachusetts. Miss Hilda Smith is Pro Merito advisor in Easthampton High School. Seniors Twenty-one students from the Class of 1956 have been so rewarded for their outstanding scholastic work.
