junior Varsity Baseball t Its Best K' Al The 1986 junior Varsity Baseball Team. The junior Varsity Base- ball Team, coached by Robert Peele, had a success- ful year. The overall record was 9-5. The j.V. Team con- sisted of Carlton Coney, john Denny, Scott Herring, Ricky Hooks, Chris Hux, john Cerken, Kenny james, Ceordie Kelly, and Mike Trujillo. john Denny received the Most Improved Player Award. Coach Peele stated, H1 was generally pleased with the season as a whole. Our record was good considering we had a smaller group of' players than normal. WVith lesser numbers, a team suf- fers in areas of talent. This team was as talented as previous groups and their ei- tort paid off in a successful seasonf' Mike Trujillo, third base- man stated, Thc team had trouble at practice in the beginning of the year, but they settled down and start- ed working together.
