1 . .Q 4. .f . I xi , sri., it 'V 31 2, . ... l May 10, 1986 - Iunior!Senior Prom May 10, 1986 arrived . . . the night ofEastern Wayne's junior-Senior Prom. After many weeks of planning, and work, the Junior Class, after selling soap and candy for a fundraiser, along with help from the art classes and carpentry classes, created 'cFantasy Land, complete with an enchanted forest and mystical waterfall. Seniors, juniors, and their guests entered the dance floor area through a magical garden, which was constructed like a castle courtyard. A rhythmic heat filled the air as disc jockey, Larry Bill, magically mixed music. Sophomore waiters and waitresses dressed as fairies and served their guests drinks and snack food. They were Tyrone Stanley, Nachon Adams, La Shon VViggins, Deidre Smith, Kristen Scott, Dionne McBride, Nancia Barrett, Terri Jones, and Seconda Hobbs. Dressed in their gorgeous ball gowns, the young ladies ofthe court danced the night away with their tuxedo-clad escorts. But alas, all good things must come to an end and the tower clock truck the fateful hour of midnight, the couples departed from the castle in their magical coaches and slowly drifted into the night.
