Girls Track Aims For The Top The 1986 Girls Track Team aimed for the top. They succeeded by qualifying for the secionals in discus, triple jump, and the 1600 meter run. Michelle Smith placed Bfth in the 3200 meter run which qualified her for Regionals. Lisa Allen placed second in the 100 meter dash, third in the 100 meter hurdles, and third in the 300 meter hurdles, all of which qualified her to compete on the State level. Led by Coaches Mike Ward and Joe Terrel, the girls placed fourth out of seven teams in the confer- ence meet. Qualifying for the sectionals, the regionals, and the State was great achievement, 9 stated Coach Mike Ward.
