To George E. Craig . . . We affectionately dedicate this nineteenth volume of the Kinnikinick. Mr. Craig, seventeenth student to enroll when first this college was created and a mem- ber of the faculty since 1912, has been a sincere friend of every student in his twenty-nine years of service to the institution. There will be an empty spot in the heart of all who have known him when the chair he has occupied as director of the college placement office he organized in 1913 becomes vacant this fall upon his resignation. One of our most active alumni and instructors, Mr. Craig has been directly responsible for establishing many of the customs and traditions which have since become an integral part of the life of Eastern Vxfash- ington college. As he travels the highways of retire- ment, it is the desire of all students, past, present and future, that he leave us with the knowledge that though some of his material contributions may crumble and decay, the part of him which has become a part of us will ever endure.
