Clark Kintschi Houghton i larence iJ. A ' ' lartin Scholarship The Clarence D. Martin Scholarship has been awarded annually with the exception of one year since 1924. The scholarship, amounting to one hundred and fifty dollars, is given to a male student in his third year on the basis of scholastic ability, character, and general achievement. Holder for 1935-6 — George Howeiler. I he Kalph ilarle 1 ieje, Junior, Alemorial Jcholarship Annually a scholarship of $100.00 is given to an English or Speech major in his senior year, upon recommendation of the Department of Language and Literature. The award was established in 1934. Holder for 1935-6 — John Rodgers. i he Jpuphonia Scholarship The Euphonia Scholarship of a quarter ' s music lessons is awarded each fall, winter, and spring quarter. Tryouts are held at the beginning of each quarter, in voice, stringed instruments, and piano, one type of instrument being taken each quarter.
