The year began auspiciously for Zeta Pi Sigma when the society received the Men,s Scholastic Plaque. With the intent of serving as an active intellectual force on campus, Zeta, With Charles Blum serving as Earl Marshall, featured a short analysis of J ames Baldwin, a lecture on existentialism as man- ifested in Camust The Plague, a comparison of a Spanish novel and Lord of the F lies, an explanation of voodooism, and a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Fine Arts. These activ- ities and others illustrate Zeta,s goal: to help Eastern develop through intellectual achievement, personal creativity, and constant analysis of the campus society.

With the installation of thirty-five new members, the society swelled to the largest lit on campus. Under the coaching of Pres. Phil Robinson, Pisces, With its characteristic ttgo, go, gd, emphasis, provided pep rallies, twirl- ing units. and a color guard for the soccer games; created a unique float with a Hawaiian motif for Homecoming; presented Friday night movies; sold popcorn at the basketball games; established Pisces serenades; and sponsored a series of notable hootenannies.
