OFFICERS, L. to R.: F. Poehlman, President; A. Lorente, Student Council Representative; P. Bolster, Student Council Representative; P. Edgecombe, Vice President; W. Offutt, Chaplain; J. Gibbs, Treasurer. Not present: L. Owens, Secretary. The Senior Class Our Freshman year, under the capable leadership of President David Eshelman, was one 9f eager participation in the new joys and struggles of college life. Our class grew together in Christian fellowship and sorrowed at the departure of fellow classmates. , With Ardell Thomas at the helm, our Sophomore year .was one of continued development and increased dedica- tion. Vital programs of spiritual and social activity helped to unify the class. David Gay became President our Junior year when we faced decisions and academic struggles as well as many exciting experiences. We enjoyed Victory in the Tune Tangle and approved the choices of Janine Braun as Campus Queen and Ardell Thomas as the new Student Council President. We lay sleeping while the Seniors un- expectedly disappeared on their sneak. Serious preparation and a whirl of socials characterized our Senior year under the direction of Frank Poehlman. Engrossed in the controversy over a marvelous Sneak, the glitter of Carolyn Millerts selection as Ca'mpus Queen, and the wonder of our last year, we, the Class of 1963, suddenly reached the day when we stood with diploma in hand. Eastern was now behind us-the world before us.
