Khinvwrv ! To conform or not to conform? That was the question predominant in the season's iirst major production, Rhinosceros, presented by Eastern's Department of Drama and directed by Dr. Don Wilmeth. Rhinosceros, written by the French playwright Eugene Ionesco, is an absurd comedy with points of high drama, traversing from the sublime to the ridiculous, left the audience pondering their social values. The play has its setting, at the present, in a small French town. It progresses from the ap- pearance of a single rhinosceros to a point in the drama where all the townspeople except one, believe it fashionable to become Rhino- sceroses. Rhinos were portrayed by Barbara Farr, Beverly Edwards, Rhonda Morgan, Helen Mueller, and Ernest Sanchez. And she's otf!! Berenger and his fellow workers look on in amazement as Mrs. Bouef rides away on the back of her husband who has changed into a Rhino. As jean changes Berenger exclaims, Why . . . you're a Rhino- scerosll!! Berenger and Daisy console each other as they come to the stark realization that they are the only re- maining humans. Public concem continues to grow about the Transfor- mations and the discussions become more and more heated at Berenger's ofhce.

Sandy, a beautiful blonde-haired junior from Carlsbad, New Mexico, reigned over the Homecoming weekend, rode on a special Hoat in the Homecoming Parade and the hazel-eyed English major sat in a special box during the Homecoming game with Southwestern Oklahoma College. I .J Unaware that she is destined to be the 1966 Home- coming Queen, Sandy O'Chesky is escorted to the Stage of the Campus Union Ballroom by Associated Student Body Vice-President Craig Ezell.
