FOUNDERS DAY Dr. Schweitzer’s appeal to consider ‘’Science and Reverence”’ was an appropriate challenge for an expanding Christian liberal arts college at the dedication of a new science center and renovated seminary building. Rose Lawn, the new women’s residence testified to this growth with open doors, while a near-doubled seminary enrollment prompted the re- marks of its justly proud dean. Students and guests visiting the campus during these October ceremonies paid homage to the memory of M. T. Brackbill in attending planetarium demon- strations. Science films and tours which included the Hostetter Museum introduced us to the new purpose growing out of the increased opportunities of the science department. THE COMPLETED SCIENCE CENTER awaits its influx of students. oP a : yf “4, DR. SCHWEITZER encounters post-lecture converse. uf ca A GYROSCOPIC THRILL sends science center guests spinning.
