CLIMBERS SCALE MA SSAN U TTEN Massanutten Peak provided an adequate challenge for devoted EMHS hikers Sep- tember 16, 1967. Arriving in two buses at the foot of the peak at about 9:00 a.m., approximately 70 students began the trek. Most probably had second thoughts about their sanity about an hour later when they encountered the steepest section of the trail.
