Deans off Student Affairs Dean of Women, Mrs. Emma Y. Cose, maintains over-all supervision of Eastern ' s women students. The beloved dean promotes the personal and social wel- fare of the coeds, and her friendliness and genuine interest in every student has won her profound re- spect and admiration. Deon of Students, Dr. Henry G. Martin, has served as the Director of The Ele- mentary School here since 1955. He was recently named President-Elect of the Kentucky Association of Colleges, Secondary, and Elementary Schools. He will assume full time duties heading all student personnel services during the summer term. Registrar, Mr. M. E. Mattox, is responsi- ble for registration, admissions and the official instructional records and grades. He is never too busy with his various duties to take time for the many stu- dents who seek his advice. Dean of Men, Mr. Quentin B. Keen, handles skillfully the many problems which flow through his office daily, carrying with him the high esteem of all stu- dents. Dean Keen ' s warm smile expresses the as- surance with which he guides Eastern men.

Deans off Faculty Dean of the College, Dr. W. J. Moore, is a man of admirable achievement and ability. He is primarily concerned with the present and future well- being of all students who attend Eastern. Dean Moore ' s sense of humor aids greatly in his job of handling hundreds of individuals, helping students to solve numerous problems each semester. Associate Dean of Instruction for Gradu- ate Studies, Dr. Richard E. Jaggers, re- tires this year from an active professional career that dates back to 1926 when he first came to Eastern. His duties include advising and supervising all graduate students and certifying them for the Master ' s degree. He also serves as chairman of the Graduate Council. Associate Dean of Instruction for Teacher Education, Dr. J. Dorland Coates, is the son of Eastern ' s third president. He has served as Director of the Training School Program here since 1952. Dr. Coates, chairman of Teacher- Education Committee, is in charge of the selection of students for teacher- education curricula. i

Mr. John L. Vickers, Director of Col- lege-Community Relations, is from Frankfort where he was Director of Pupil Transportation. He will be active in bringing groups of prospec- tive students and professional persons to the Eastern campus. Mr. D. J. Carry, Director of In-service Education, is in charge of corre- spondence and extension work, os well as heading the Placement Bureau. Mr. Donald R. Felrner, Director of Publicity and Publications, is respon- sible for the dissimination of all publicity and publications pertaining to the college and maintains a general supervision over all student publica- tions. Administration Staff Officers and Mr. James W. Brown, Consultant of In-service Education, has responsibili- ties of a field worker under the super- vision of the Extension Department. Mr. Danial C. Websrer, an assistant in the Division of Publicity and Publi- cations, serves as the college photog- rapher. He hails from Bluefield, West Virginia, and received his experi- ence from six years Navy duty.
