ARMY CAPTAIN WILLIAM C. REEVES LIEUTENANT EARL T. NOBLE Assistant instructors of Military Science and Tactics are Captain W. C. Reeves and Lieutenant Earl Noble. Both of these officers are graduates of Purdue University and are members of the Organized Reserve Corps. For sheer determination, unending patience, and skill, there is no end to the things which could be said of Captain Reeves. THE U. S. COLONEL JOHN R. STARKEY Eastern has been especially fortunate this year in having as its leader in the field of Military Science, Colonel John R. Starkey, who came direct from Fort Bragg, N. C. the world ' s largest field artillery post, where he served in the 13th Field Artillery Brigade. It is to men like Colonel Starkey that America is looking for guidance and instruction during this most critical period of her history. It is to men like him to whom we, the people, look for the help and encouragement and leadership which enable us to go on to the ulti- mate victory which is so fondly and universally prayed for. Those men who knew Colonel Starkey stand as one in testimony to his firm courage, deep intelligence and constant effort. This is, after all, the final proof of our tribute to him, Here is a man .
