— J Foreword And now another year has passed, and we, as another Senior class, offer the Milestone as our last endeavor as students at Eastern. Herein are recorded and pictured the social and academic events of the past year. We refrain from being sentimental in our book for, although we are saying goodbye to those persons and surroundings which have grown dear to us through constant association for four years, we are anxious to step out into the world and take our place there, and prove our right to our heritage. To us, Life is good and great. Of course, we well realize that there are many dis- appointments ahead for us. We realize that we shall find tears where we expected to find smiles, but we are confident that our faith in ourselves and our ideals, together with our philosophy that honesty and hard work will accomplish any- thing, will see us safely through all situations. So we, the Senior class, give to you the Milestone of 1935 with the hope that it will serve to bind us closer, in some measure at least, to our Alma Mater.
