CONCERT BAND ,F- Each year try-outs are held in the boys' and girls' band to select those players which are best qualified to participate in concert and band activities. Under the skilled and able direction of our new band instructor, Mr. Bergan, the 4 boys' band has brought a great deal of fame and prominence to Eastern High School. At the recent Grand Conclave of the Knights Templar held in Texas, Eastern had the only representative band outside the state of Texas. This is proof in recognition of the high standing held by our band in the nation's eye. At home, the girls' and boys' band combined to form many diilicult num- ,,,:V. bers and formations.
