W Even before school opens in the fall, a faculty committee has wrestled with the triple problems of teacher replacements, faculty assignments, and pupil schedules, not to mention the question of which closet to hide the last 100 entrants in. During opening days, the staff meets, and sophomores, H50 strong, come shyly in for orientation.

l Early in the fall comes the first in a series of traditional assemblies, inaugura- tion of Student Council officers. Each girl makes her serious, hopeful-of-a-better-year speech calling for better traffic movement, better cafeteria arrangements, better cooperation, and better student self-gov- ernment. ln a matter of weeks comes senior inaugural with more oaths and more speeches as the senior officers also look forward to a wonderful year.
