Donna Bell and Barbara Henderson arrange tables and flowers forthe senior cast dinner. Juniors helped to put the school in a holiday spirit by suspending a Christmas tree in the east lobby, and furnishing the office with greens. We also served dinner to the cast of the senior play, held garlands over the last midyear graduating class, and looked forward to spring. March came bringing Junior Day and our play Antigone, a dramatic contrast to our sophomore effort. With June and warm weather, we fell to dreaming. The next step would see us as SENIORS! A gay scene gust before the guests This beautiful Christmas arrangement prepared by the Juniors was greatly admired and appreciated. 33

Class of l964 With this ring upon my finger . . . 1964 ofticially became upperclassmen. Newly elected officers, along with fellow iuniors, soon began working on plans for our prom. Rhapsody in Blue, the Theme for the prom, was carried out by hanging fish shells and ships under a dark blue sky. Arriving for a gala evening. As school opened, Eastern felt the im- pact of 1400 new girls, the largest sopho- more class in its history. Early weeks went in learning schedules and getting settled. The first official representation accorded the class was the selection of a member- at-large to the Student Council. Then came class elections complete with posters in the hall, electioneering in the classrooms, and campaign speeches at the class meeting. Fran Solley congratulates the olficers of the Class of '65, Susan Pearce, Vice-president: Roberta Gill, President: Fran, and Carolyn Wells, Secretary.
