Nina Sklorevski Dawn Breaks - We're Sophomores When we entered Eastern in the fall of 1956, we were awe-stricken by its immensity. We thought that we would never find our right classes. As the year wore on, Eastern became more than just a brick maze. We became acquainted with its tra- ditions. We experienced a sense of 'belonging when we elected our class officers, chose our motto, wrote our song, and designed our banner. The year was crowned by Sophomore Day, when we proudly presented our class play, Opening Night. We had become true Easternitesl And I was Queen of the May, says Mrs. Palmer with a flourish. Concetta Armiger, as Miss Skinner, is overwhelmed by her excited fan club members just before opening night!
