The Women's Organization The purpose of the Women's Organization at Eastern is to provide all members of the college community with as many services as possible relating to the chang- ing sex roles that are now evolving in our society. We hope to offer people the opportunity to communicate their feelings and ideas about being male or female. We are moving toward creating an atmosphere in which students feel free to be themselves without fear of rejection. We hope to dissolve any misconceptions people have about our organization and the Women's Movement in general. ls- sues which we are concerned with include consciousness raising, self defense, women's health, women in literature, and the feminist political movement. She believed that society could only be healthy when all groups within it were equal. She believed that women should become full citizens, taking their place as independent people in the world of men. She was Mary Wollstonecraft, who wrote Vindicotion ofthe Rights of Women.
