The Outing Club provides an opportunity for students to par- ticipate in outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, camping, skiing and white-water canoeing. All students at East- ern are automatically members if the club. The club owns basic outdoor equipment, some of which is available to students for a nominal rental. OCIOLOGY CL B The Sociology Club's main pur- pose is to coordinate interests in so- ciology and social relations. The programs are flexible and include lectures, films, and outside field work. D-:dm-a Scheduled' By JOHN ZIONCE Between the days of Oct. 24 to Oct. 27, Arthur Schnitzler's La Ronde, a comedy of amorous adventures will be presented by Eastern's Drama Club. The cast is arrayed with new talent. Among the ten member cast, seven have never been with the club before. The play in- troduces the following with theinrespective characters for La Ronde. Concetta Falcone, the Girl of the Streets. Harry Flegert, the Soldier. Rob Ross, the Young Gentleman, Debby Coviella, the Young Wife. Michael Hillyer, the Husband. Susan Gialione, the actress, and Don Nicleell, the Court. Among the veteran actors, Michael Thompson portrays the poet. Michael was seen last spring in Leo Faukor's prize winning play, If it Weren't for Evil during the one act student play contest. Maria Raffio plays the maid. Although she has never acted on Eastern's stage, she has written for it. Her play, The Restless Dream was seen during the student play contest. Lastly, we have Elaine Gaeta who has had starring roles in three plays at Eastern. She has appeared in Joe Egg, Mary Mary, and the Old Maid's In- capabilities, a play written by John Zionce for the play contest last spring. In La Ronde she plays the sweet young Miss. Doretta O'Hara is Stage Manager, and William Lannon, the director. The Draina Society of ECSC puts on plays. The society puts on plays both old and new- rnany of theni written and directed by the stu- dents ofEastern. The New Harry Hope Theatre, built by Eastern students, has given students the chance to learn a far inore sophisticated hind of technical theatre than was possible a year ago. In suni, the Society is one ofthe greatest assets available to students for the display of their nu- inerous creative talents-inost obviously in the Annual Student-written One Act Play Contest.
