The Intramural Pro- gram at Eastern Conn. is designed to furnish well- organized competition in a number of popular ac- tivities for all men and women students. The pro- gram ojfers an outlet for all levels of athletic abili- ty in eight team sports and seven individual ac- tivities. We encourage ev- ery E. C.S.C. student to be- come involved in some phase of the intramural programs whether it be from a desire for com- petition, relaxation, fit- ness or fun. A.I.S. and the intramural office work closely with S.G.A. and the Physical Education de- partment to offer the most comprehensive and ejjci- cient program of activities possible for E.C.S.C. Eastern States Eastern States Association is an organization which seeks to improve teacher education through workshops, speakers, school visits and annual con- ferences. Throughout the year, the organization visits difer- ent campuses and surround- ing schools to meet with educa- tion students and faculty for cooperative study on the latest innovations and techniques in education. CHAVERIM He Chaverim, The Friends, is Eastern Connecticut State College's Jewish Stu- dent Organization. The organization is established as a Zion- ist Organization open to all students, staff and faculty of ECSC. The purpose of He Chaverim is to pro- mote Jewish and Zi- onist activities and to foster a Jewish awareness on this campus. Its prime te- net is that Judaiam is a legitimate and relevant philosophy, a way of life which is a significant contrib- utor to the world cul- tures of man.
