SPANISH CLUB 1 1 I i l , The Spanish Club, organized last year with only five members, haslgrown until it has a membership of sixteen. The purpose of this club is to promote' social activities axilong Spanish speaking students of Gila. Under the sponsorship of Charles C. Kiser, with Alfred Brady as President, Gay Curtis as Vice-President, and Sara Haws as Secre- tary, the club has given an assembly program, picnics, and enjoyed Spanish shows. The members are Bruce Curtis, Dick Firth, Frank Moody, Iris Mount, Harry Pollock, Ray Ferguson, Raul Mariscal, Ulban Chavez, Teresa Martineau, Gwendolyn Judd, Ardith Maloy, Spencer Palmer, and Leonard Villalobos. l 90 0 Q i 9 0

Returning to Gila was only one previous member of this organiza- tion. The other members were initiated at the close of the football season. These mem- bers have each made a letter in football. U The event of the year was a steak fry, held in the mountains, which was thoroughly enjoyed by each member of this association.
