HISTORY A group of very unusual youngsters entered the little red school on the corner of Beau and North Wade back in 19h2. They happily met Miss Iams at the door, little realizing what the coming decade or so would bring. This class of sweet harmless toddlers turned gradually into this year's seniors, the class of 'Blu First, second, third, and forth grade seem pretty hazy as we look back on them. Perhaps it's just as well. Some things are better forgotten. However, I think everyone remembers gazing with awe on the wonderful upperclassmen who inhabited the second floor, and the pride and happiness that we felt when we in turn became the grown-up fifth graders. It was in sixth grade that Patty Graham was added to our class, and a fine addition it was too. Our class had the honor, that year, of being the first to use the new desks with swivel seats. They made the most fascinating cleck as they turned and when sufficent speed could be worked up, a sound resembling machine-gun fire was achieved. In seventh grade we were blessed with two new additions, Frank Eiduke and Bob Jordan. During our big year feighth grade at lastl Mr Roberts helped us earn money to make our formal dinner dance and teachers' tea a big success. For our class day program we had a mlnstrel which we, at least, will never forget When the next September rolled around, an eager group of freshmen gathered at the High School doors The first few days we walked around in circles searchlng for classes and be having l1ke average newcomers, but this d1dn't last long, as the teachers can readily verify This year Ella Mae Kirk, Ruth Mozina, and Marjorie Zediker were added to our class Our home room teacher was M Knestrick After banging a few heads together, he was ready to pass us on to Mrs Faust. This was the year a strange sensatlon came over us and so, to have some excitement, we took to stealing clocks Remember? In our Junlor year we flooded all of East Wash1ngton w1th statlonary and magazlnes to flnance the prom wh1ch w11 never be equaled Between our selllng th1ngs and Hborrowlngu flowers for decorations, people began to h1de when they saw a JUH1OT COm1Hg Thls year Harold Whitaker Jolned us M s Meloy took a good deal from us and managed to make that JUHIOP year wonderful Our senior year started out with D1ck Murray falllng over h1s own feet while play1ng foot ball Th1s seemed to be the secret signal because immedlately a host of accldents followed Mr Dorchester not only had to take the responslbllity of getting us through Ch8mlStIy but also had to keep order 1n our home room Somehow he managed to come through lt w1th very few scars and he deserves a medal After we attend the Senior Prom, Baccalaureate, and produce a wonderful classday, our high school days w1ll be ended by Co mencement It will be a sad day when our class leaves, but the memories w1ll remaln to haunt the teachers for years to come -.3 N Fla 41 I O I . - ' O , - I I . . . - . . ., . . .
