Um XG ,QL Although he's not shown on the pages designated for the men and women who make our school tiok, we feel that the familiar figure of uCharl1en should have a lead- ing place in the 1949 edition of nThe Pilotu. Without Hr. Polan, we wou1dn't have our well-swept halls, the snow wouldn't be shoveled, we'd freeze in the winter and roast in the spring, the boards would be dusty, and everything would be untidy. And who can forget the fellow who anxiously peers up and down the hall every morning to see if all his kids are safely in their home rooms before he rings the eight-thirty bell?
