These ETSU students are all smiles as Governor Clement prepares to sign the epoch-making bill. The students ' joy over the signing was representative of the feelings of the student body as a whole. The pictured students, who rep¬ resented the leadership of various campus groups and organizations which had been active in promoting university status, were taken to Nashville by a special plane graciously furnished by Mr. Ward King to witness the signing, meet the governor, and go on a tour of the capital.
