We may live without money, we may live without books, , But civilized man cannot live without cooks. Zelma Lee, otherwise known as 'fPreacher, was born at the home of her parents on her birthday. She was born to be a pessimist there can be no doubt. Her earliest .ex- pression was a grin. Now she faces the world with a smile. Home Economics has been her specialty. She confesses that her ambition is to build a modern American Home, and in the mean- time to be contentin showing others how it ought to be done. We often wonder that she hasn't already had this opportunity, though we daresay it will come soon enough. She is finishing now at the dear old Normal School, and of her it may be said, Gone but not forgotten. 2 FRED C.
