IQI6 F' lQ20: Scarab made a weekly. Six teachers and l72 students served in World War. Gridders were Senate Champs in IQI5, 'l6, and 'l7. Mr. Lake re- ceived promotiong l-l. D. Bixley succeeded him. 1920-1927: Mr. Bixley resignedg l-larry Bathrick took his place. First student government introduced. Tech's greatest Football team played For the Nation- al Championship on the West Coast, but lost be- cause ot Fatigue. Mr. Bathrick promoted. l927-W !930: Pliny l-l. Powers appointed principal. Camp Frost builtg Vocational Guidance Bureau estab- lishedg National l-lonor Society introduced. Gridders Senate Champions in '29 and '30, Mr. Powers became Assistant Superintendent ol: Public Schools. 1936- I938: B. W. Taylor appointed East Tech- nical's sixth principal.
