The Snavelymen suTTered Their second cleTeaT by losing To The sTrong downsTaTe Team from Ship- pensburg S. T. C., 6-O. Alfhough The Junior Warriors did noT make such an impressive record-losing Two games and Tying one-much poTenTial varsiTy maTerial was discovered in These games. The Red and Black J.V.'s iourneyed To Wilkes-Barre To play Their season opener wiTh a sfrong Wyoming Seminary Team. Our club losT To Sem, 27-9. Veneroso's Touchdown plus an exTra poinT and a safeTy accounTed for The J.V.'s nine poinTs. The passing combinafion of Weiler To Pasko clicked for many subsTanTial gains. The E.S.S.T.C. J.V. fooTball men, showing much improvemenf over Their previous game, lasT a close baHle To Penningfon Prep by a I3-I2 score. Weiler accounfed for one Touchdown by an 80-yard broken field run, and Geroni, flashy Muhlenberg Transfer, accounTecl for The second score. The concluding game of The season resulfed in a scoreless Tie wiTh a scrappy NaTional Farm School eleven. A sTeady downpour made boTh running and passing very difficulf.
