Michele (ioncalve and Tommy Burger meeting between classes 2 Introduction A Day At East Side A typical day at East Side is not just your ordinary day. Students come to school as early as 8:00 in the morning to enjoy the fresh air and to meet their friends. At 8:20 the doors of the school open and students in a frenzy rush to their lockers. While conversing in the hallways, the homeroom bell rings and the day begins. From that point on. serious studying begins and the student’s will to learn grows intently. As each class ends, the hallways are swarmed with students laughing and chatting with one another before the next class. The highlight of the day for every East Sider is lunchtime. It provides free time for every student not only for lunch but to talk with one another or use the time to study at the library. Anticipation grows as 2:30 approaches. Students exiting the building hurry off to work, participate in clubs or athletic activities, and still others hang out in the park. So you see. East Siders combine education with laughter and excitement.
