Student Government The senior class officers and their representatives have a difficult job that entails much responsibility. They must plan all the senior activities and see that everything is well organized. They hold fund raisers by selling chocolate, sweatshirts. stuffed animals and various other things. Under the guidance and leadership of class advisor Mrs. Salagaj and the dedication of our officers and representatives. our senior year was a memorable one. The Student Council is a group of very dedicated individuals. Every year they succeed in giving East Side students a reason to be proud of their school. They have sponsored food drives for the needy. They organized Senior and Junior Recognition Days to rally school spirit. They also operate the popular Trading Post. Advised by Mrs. Matarrazo. the Student Council is a great asset to East Side. National Honor Society Members Selected The National Honor Society is dedicated to the high standards of scholarship, service. leadership and character. Membership in the National Honor Society is both an honor and responsibility. Students may not apply for membership, it is granted only to those students selected by the faculty council. Students selected for membership are expected to continue to demonstrate the qualities set by the Honor Society. The society recognizes those students who not only excel in scholarship but also demonstrate strong character, exhibit qualities of leadership. along with service to school and community.
