ACADEMICS All through our lives we will depend on our education, an education which we attain only through many hours of hard work and effort. We will someday look back on all those hours spent hovering over a typewriter working on those dreaded term papers as well as nights spent cramming for finals and realize that it was all worth it. The sparkling diversity of subjects offered at East Side enables us to develop such outstanding qualities, as hard work, self-discipline and perseverence, that epitomize the very essence and spirit of our school. East Side’s academic diversity has grown throughout the years and there are many events which have helped make our years memorable; such as Mr. Molinaro’s famous tee-shirt with the quadratic formula printed on it, which will leave its mark in our memory bank. Or those times in foods class with Mrs. Johnson, when fifteen minutes could be spent trying to remove lumps from the pancake batter only to realize that they were part of the batter. At East Side, we value highly the various opportunities presented to us through our academic program. We look forward to the challenges ahead in the hope that our future will only be endowed with sparkling promises. 75th ANNIVERSARY Academics 17
