ENTERTAINMENT On the evenings of June 7 and 8. the Junior Class presented Godspell, directed by Mrs. Glover. This gospel according to St. Mi i chael. was performed by East Side's talented actors and ac- , tresses and choreographed by Ms. Shirley Pfaff. As parents and friends entered the auditorium, a feeling of excitement permeated the air. They quickly found seats and waited with anticipation for the show to begin. As the curtain went up. every- J one's attention focused on the stage members and the cast. The show started with the song Tower of Babble , performed by the entire cast. As the musical progres- 1 sed. the cast enacted simple stor- J ies. sayings and parables of the gospel. Dancing and music of many varieties such as folk, ballad, pop. rock and light musical comedy was incorporated along with dramat-1 ics. The acts went by quickly and before we knew it. the band was playing On the Willows”, the second to last song. The show came to a close with the entire cast performing an exuberant finale. Godspell was truly great en- j tertainment and expressed clearly the ideas of Jesus Christ, which was to teach love and joy rather than hate and sadness. Student life 5

JUST ONE TOUCH’ The evening of May 17th. 1985, will definitely bring back many wonderful memories for those who attended the Junior Prom. It took many weeks of preparation to make it an enjoyable evening for everyone. Surely, the girls will never forget their aching feet as they hit shopping mall after shop-ping mall searching for that perfect dress and the guys will surely remember trying to build up enough nerve to ask that special someone . The weeks flew by and prom night finally arrived. At about seven o'clock the empty seats at the Mediterranean Manor began to fill. Everything looked beautiful. The white tablecloths, red napkins and flower centerpieces added that special touch, but that was nothing compared to the appearance of the students. Everyone looked stunning and seemed not to mind giving up leans and sneakers for the night. As the lights dimmed, the theme song Just One Touch was played and the couples headed for the dance floor. After that, things really started rolling. Dinner was served while D. J. Freddy Freak played. Crazy For You. After dinner. the dance floor was the main attraction where everyone was having fun doing their own special steps. Then everything calmed down for the playing of the theme song once again before the night was over. Peter Emory and limb Fernando »tep out with pizza:. Filtering with tyle.
