Many thir that art is an easy, one-sided subject, consisting of flat watercolors. dried up markers, and foded construction paper Fortunately, within the wals of East Side, art is treated as a multi-dimensional subject, with classes n Art Foundations. Photography. Commercial Art, Crafts. Drawing and Painting and Stucco Art. Students are able to explore the many aspects of modern art and recreate the patterns and designs of ancient civilizations. The odditon of Photography exposed a new art form for East Siders to experience Students develop their Mm and using techniques learned in class, print the«r negatives m the quiet of the darkroom As part of Art Foundations, students study ceramics, and form clay objects, that are then fired in a kiln Drawing expands the ndividuoi's talent in freehand expression, and craft's relates ong al and trodtonal techniques which then con be applied to make assigned projects Art is more than markers and cardboard here at East Side, our Art program blends a variety of informative and expressive skins, with enjoyable and practical knowledge For years, we East Siders have been makng it in the Art World. Everyone has some memories of times spent in the gymnasium ond m health class Whether It's sweating it out doing aerobics or struggling through a health-test, these are things we can all relate to. To some, physical education is simply - “gym - free time to run around, socialize and work-out, but not for Raiders.
