TOIVIGIIT’S THE SIGHT On April 23. 1982. the Juniors, ond their guests, entered Casa Stc a with smies and excitement, awaiting an evening of fun and laughter Mr. Chi. greeted everyone personaly at the door, and informed us that there was plenty of food and refreshments for afl to enjoy Coming from the next room, we heard the sound of cisco music and saw reflections of the flashing bghts In odditon. we could hear the D.J. welcoming us to jo t the action on the dance floor. When the tempo changed, the couples then gathered for a slow dance. Always Looking Good Nobody can forget those long hours of study, cramming before an exam, and fa ng to get home before eleven Or can we? Yet East S ders always pul through and make things happen Of course. Mary Kurdyla and Jose Via choose not to remember mornings before school; wakng up at six to make an eight o'clock class After rusrtng her shower. Theresa Capra, then applys her makeup, and heods for her closet. At this time, most Raiders are doing the same Al of us jcrrp Into the nicest outfit we could possibly find, always succeeding at “looking good.” As we al wafc by each other In passing time, we become very aware of ocx surroundings We see Mk:hoei Wateki’s variety of colors. Moggie Gonzalez’s different styles of clothes. Mayte Garcia's outrageous hairdos, and. last but not least. Gladys Rivas' stnpes. With these speoal appearances, we march into class makng something happen We change our whole atmosphere We make it a brighter and more we -toned place Then, as we are seated the sweat of last night's studying breaks out.
