ROSTER OF SUPERIOR MERIT The Class of 1977 adds the name of Golden E. Johnson to the Rosier of Superior Merit. Ms. Johnson is now magistrate in the City of Newark. She graduated East Side High School in June of 1961, attended Douglass College, where she earned her A.B. in June of 1965. She then went on to Rutgers School of Law, where she obtained her J. D. in June of 1971. She is currently a member of various major professional state and national legal associations such as. New Jersey Bar Association; Executive Board of the National Bar Association; and the Garden State Bar Association. She is also actively engaged in civic endeavors, Ms. Johnson participates in organizations which dedicate themselves to the betterment of human understanding. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the Central Ward Girls Club; a member of the New Jersey Advisory Board for the United States Commission on Civil Rights; and a member of the NAACP. In addition to magistrate, she is Adjunct Professor, Rutgers School of Law.
