MRS. MARIAN MATARAZZO Class Advisor TAn Advisor’s Life Is Not An Easy One” Mrs. Matarazzo, has, perhaps more than anyone else, added a special quality to the many activities we seniors have enjoyed at East Side. Throughout her two years with the class of ’63 she has been an inspired and dedicated advisor. She has brought out the best we have to give; she has given the best of her talents, time, and enthusiasm to us. By tireless work, she has seen this class through two overwhelmingly successful years. Her fine character and high standards have been an inspiration to all seniors, and her consistent efforts in our behalf have endeared her to all. The entire senior class wishes to express its sincere appreciation and affection to her for all she has done, and to let her know that many of the fond memories we take away from East Side, and a great deal of the good we have achieved here, can be attributed to her guidance and inspiration. “ o gift is more precious than good advice. —Erasmus Supervising voting. MR. LOUIS GRIFFITHS Vice Principal A warm welcome to parents. A special tribute and dedication this year go to Mr. Griffiths, who will retire from East Side with the class of ’63. His familiar figure, his kindly, smiling face will be missed by everyone. His years of dedicated service to this school and its students will Ixj rememl ered as long as there are East Side graduates who have shared their memorable years with him. We are proud and grateful to have had the opportunity to be at East Side during the years he was its vice principal. It has made our four years here that much more rewarding. We wish him for now, and for the future, good luck, good health and a very warm and fond adieu. A smiling face.
