FACULTY What greater or better gift can we offer the republic than to teach and instruct our youth? —Cicero KATHRYN ALEXANDER Phfiical (dotation ELEANOR BLOOMFIELD LAWRENCE BLOCH BESS BARTNER Chairman (ngtilh Oaportmant Social Sludiat Budnau JACK BARBARA Butina « PAUL P. BOGATKO Phyucat (duration Eiploining th Teachers a» East Side are an integral part of school life. Not only are they dedicated in their teaching but give freely of their time to the many extra-curricular activities. A glance at the list of the many and varied clubs functioning at East Side, is a clue to the great contribution they make to the enrichment of our lives. We depend on our teachers for all the little things that moke going to school fun: the singing groups, the bands, extra-curriculor sports, school government, the dances, shows and assembly programs, and lastly our senior activities. Without the voluntary assistance provided by our teachers, by coming in early and staying late, chaperoning our dances and taking us on trips, planning our activities and working along with us, wc would miss all the extras that make school something special and memorable. For all these many things we are duly grateful. We are thankful, most of all, for that little extra help when the work gets difficult, the encouragement when things go wrong, and the little push in the right direction when we stort to stray.
