Now the time is here for you to apply the best weapon in our great democracy, education. Some of you will continue to higher fields in educationg some will commence to apply your present knowledge to practical use. You will find that your new phase of life will be more difficult than the world you have been accustomed to. VVhen important decisions are to be made, don't hesitate to ask for advice. Above all, never feel that your knowledge is finishedg be eager to listen and always be willing to learn more. The time has also come to say farewell to our East Paterson friends. mg ,Ag GEORGE L. DIERVVECHTER Principal Young people are often told that the future is in their own hauds. How much of this is true has been determined hy you. Ilow well you have taken advantage of the opportunities which our school provided was up to each of you in se- lecting the proper suhjects to attain the goal you set for yourself four years ago. You have, with the aid of the school personnel and parents, done this and have laid the foundation for the achieyement you had in mind. The building of your future is a complex joh. It is never finished. New and different goals may come into view, and you may change some of your plans. But you need have no fear. for if you have huilt well, you will he ahle to adjust to new situations. You will he alile to remove the obstacles that impede your progress. You will continue your course upward and forward knowing that you will achieve that which you set as your goal four years ago. This being the last class from East Paterson, I feel it is appropriate and fitting at this time to extend my farewell to the members of this group. Your contributions, both curricular and extra-curricular, contributed much to the success of your class and school. We will cherish the memories and experiences we had together. GEORGE L. This year also marks the end of a five-year period during which time the high school students of East Paterson at- tended the East Rutherford High School. A close association has developed among the girls and boys of East Paterson, Carlstadt, and East Rutherford, and memories of their high school days will remain with us for a long time. The Administration and Faculty are sorry to see this relationship come to a close, for we too have pleasant memories and we hope we have helped many boys and girls from East Paterson and Carlstadt and East Rutherford along their road of life.
