Being self-made. he has always had the interests of his fellow workers at heart, and has been instrumental in establishing a pro- gram of inestimable value for their welfare. Though Mr. Trubeli has been engrossed in building one of our leading industries, he has always kept a spot in his heart for East Rutherford High School, where he was the editor of the Tea Leaf. Having a son at college and a daughter in high school, he understands the ambitions of south. Mr. Trubek and his talented wife find pleasure and relaxation weekends in restoring earlv American houses. no W 'Z' v., - -, ' F 2 H asnesm. , X FIELD TENAVLY PATERSO EAST Ro l.. SON WOOD HACXEN. Page six She failed not those she loved and she loved all She shared her spirit mind and being and Freely gave to others holding back nothing for herself The radiance of her soul as the great light from heaven Shone sunshine in shady and scattered places All for love and nothing for reward nor gain An outstretched hand to grasp one that needed help A profferred arm to carry the weight of another s burden Kind deeds engendered of kind thoughts Are so amply recorded and shall live forever That on this earth there be happiness, A warmth of humor was sprinkled like a spring rain, Rejuvenating and bringing to life All the sweetest of flowers that grow by the path. It is probable that none of these com- munities alone could afford to proyide the wide yariety of courses and diyersified extra-curricular program which is possible under the present arrangement. There has always been an attitude of we need you and you need us between liast Rutherford and its sending districts. A spirit of harmony and the desire to proyide the best in educational opportunity has been characteristic of our intra-town relationships. The members of all three boards of education are proud to he associated with a system second to none in its group. .-X fine supervisory and teaching staff, excellent facilities, and an enthusiastic and well-behaxed student body make lfast Rutherford a well respected secondary institution. XY'e are happy with the results that real cooperation can bringftruly an all for one spirit. Nlr. These snappy dressers really have been busy this year. Performing the Saint Nicholas Cantata for the Christmas Concert at Ifairleigh Dickinson College was one of their endeavors. Our group was privileged to be the first high school glee club in the United States to perform this work. XVe should be proud of having such talented per- formers, recognition of which was evident in the many invitations they have received. Once again they have been asked to sing at Montclair State Teachers College, Trenton State Teachers College, the convention of state librarians at Asbury Park, and the Herald News Choral Festival. The largest project for 1956 was the Spring Concert. Separately and together the Clubs will be performing songs from Uklahoma. Although the year has been strenuous with these many programs, the love of music has made easier the sacrifice and the many hours of hard Work connected with it. Under rhe direction of Mr. R. Barrows, the club has become an important cultural unit of our school. Serving as club presidents were Cawley, M. Plete- nik, and G. Iiderle. lm! rim, frfl In rigfilg C. Ianni. I. Ilugo, N. As a result of their mar- velous feats in hitting and fielding, they were selected to the All-Star Team, third string. On the mound, Coach Bill Eigenrauch had placed great faith in his great hurlers, Markowsky and La Greca. Markowsky, who the year before had also turned in astonish- ing performances, followed through and gave of himself everything that could be asked, while La Greca, with his wicked fast ball, whiffed hitters, time and time again. Richard Kretz, alert first baseman, covered his position with greed, allowing few or no errors or mistakes which would do harm to his team.
