On August 29, 1983 a new year was set aflame at East Rutherford High School. With a burst of energy and excitement the students rekindled the fires of learn- ing. A Spark of Class! According to Web- ster’s Collegiate Dictionary, class is de- fined as: “I. a course of instruction, 2. a body of students whose year of gradu- ation is the same; 3. quality.’’ These types of class are definitely prevalent at East. We have 109 different levels and types of courses held daily ranging from academic courses like English and history to miscel- laneous electives. At our school the fresh- men, sophomores, juniors, and senior classes are constantly involved in main- taining the “classiness’ of style in both actions and clothing. We show. our “class” by showing consideration and re- spect for others. 2 Introduction
