There are many ways to introduce the new acquaintances, for example: While shoving your way through the halls you may bump into someone you have yet to meet. On the arrival of the new role call you listen for names which you have not heard before, as the year progresses you match faces with the new names. Friendships may also arise over a typical daily conversation inside the crowded cafeteria while eating lunch. The friendships you experience during your years at East Rutherford will remain with you throughout the rest of your life. 12 Introduction

Excellence For the 1983-1984 year the senior class chose to dedicate our annual to Mr. Joseph Victor Jones. He began teaching in 1956 at Ellenboro High School. With outstanding qualities, especially understanding and compassion, he has become an avid outdoorsman and a great teacher. He has co-ordinated the Sr. activities for a number of years. His wife’s name is Rachel and he has a son namd Kelly. For his dedication and service, we, the senior class, dedicate our annual to him. Introduction Il
