The individual student may decide to specialize, perhaps in mathematics or agriculture or business education or some other. Required subjects keep the student from narrow or one-sided choices, and correlation between departments further develops basic skills and concepts. Students who concentrate in the area of mathematics study Algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, advanced algebra, and foundations of modern mathematics.
