The club members hear speakers, see slides, and do experiments. One especially interesting program is concerned with heart transplants. Bios members participate in the candy sale. Band provides entertainment for Eastoniczns Encircled by his tuba. Mack Williams - a four-year band member - gives out the Um-bah, Um-bah, bah. The East Rowan Marching Band begins its year by concentrating on music for marching. They participate in the Salisbury, Spencer, Kannapolis, Taylorsville, and Veterans Day Parades under the direction of Mr. Gray Holshouser. In late winter and early spring, the band begins work on concert numbers which are performed at the annual Spring Concert held about two weeks before the end of school. East's Marching Band, which presents halftime shows at home games, comes to attention for the photographer.
