I-Iarnil THE PRINCIPAUS MESSAGE I consider it an honor to have been named to serve as the first principal of East Rome High School. ln my opinion there is no more rewarding and satisfying work than that associated with young people. Realizing the respon- sibility placed upon me and the trust placed in me, I have endeavored to discharge my duties with the Welfare of each student and his future success ever-present in my mind. I am proud of the East Rome High School - the building, the faculty, and the student body. Whatever progress has been made this year toward the successful establishment of a new school has been due to the full cooperation and loyalty of each member of the school family to his school. tggffwelg ,ifsik X X il ...nf M . A won- rom, Sayonara, Seniors. had dreamed of so often arrived. Beginning school building, we moved into the beautiful new East Rome High School in October. Although there were only half as many of us this year, we worked hard, determined to make our new school one of which we could be proud. Everyone did his part to make Homecoming a very special occasion. The festivities began with a parade, featuring the lovely queen and her court, and ended with a dance following the game. All has not been fun during this last yearg we have studied harder than ever before. As this, our senior year, draws swiftly to a close, let us be glad for these reflections as we think of the hard work we have done, the fun we have had, and the friends we have made during these, our high school years. h Best All Around NANCY HORNE RODNEY DEMPSEY SENIOR SUPERLATIVES Most Popular ELLISSIA WITT PAT Moss iitipqw- 4 , 131, 3Sf5'E-f'SX in Best Personality IUDY BALLARD GREG KIRBY SENIOR SUPERLATIVES Most Athletic SHERRY NONEMACHER LARRY RICKMAN Friendliest H11'1 1'Y1iS1.1m1 IIMMY CAHTW v--r-Mm,h,,, W x'wW '- Qvrv 'Q Q :A' Q W 1, . IUDY BALLARD OUR GREATEST YEARS As We the class of fifty-nine Approach our graduation, We think of all that's happened since Our ninth grade registration. We were only on the threshold Cf our greatest years, it seems, When on the hill at lunior High We began fulfilling dreams. lt seems like only yesterday We passed our sophomore year, Gaining companions and knowledge, These memories hold so dear. Our junior year Was almost sad, We strived to make it the best. This was the last of old Rome High Before it formed East and West. As We, the first East Rome seniors, Obtaining the leading role For tomorrow's senior classes Hope to have set a high goal, So now We leave these treasured halls, The unknown future we face. We pray that God will bless this class As we go to take our place. LOWER CLASSES Pro:1si',ie3r1t EVERETT PoT'rs JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS wM........,,,,,, gig?
