Seated: Mrs. Mihalich, Mrs. Caccavo. Standing: Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Goodspeed. Mrs. Megher MR. ROBERT PARRY Principal A good king serves as a constant reminder of reality who often keeps our feet on the ground. Mr. Parry has spent the last four years making sure we can deal with reality and at the same time helping us realize our dreams. A good king also helps his subjects to take pride in their land. Mr. Parry has shown us that academic excellence is well within our grasp and that pride in ourselves and our work can only lead to the benefit of the entire school. As the King of the court, we thank you. May you rule long and justly! MR. GERALD HONIG Assistant Principal As Commander-in-Chief of enforcement and overlord of the King’s dungeons. General Honig, has acquired great respect. And although openly cultivating the ancient National Honor Society into a personal faction, he is still keeping the student body from the perils of chaos. MR. EDWARD CROWLEY Assistant Principal In every court, there is needed a jester — a means of release for the King. An entertainment for our monarch in times of stress, not in the ordinary way. He seems also to take up part of the yoke for the King, regarding the youngest members of the kingdom. He acts as an assistant for, although a clown and merrymaker of the utmost skill, there is behind that painted smile, wisdom to deal with even the most difficult of tasks. THE P.T.A. Great though the gods may be, the inhabitants of this world sometimes require assistance even closer to their own level — people who see them more often. Thus we have the P.T.A., a group of noble individuals combined for the good of the students and better relations with the philosophers under the King. This worthy group provides scholarships, information and, as a special service, a journal for the Annual Competition of the Upperfactions.

All lands, be they trite or fantastic, must have some sort of structure — guardians to watch over the weak and helpless and save them from the ignorance and danger of anarchy. This land, which we all consider our own for the six years we are here, has its own court of rulers. They are the ideal, storybook kind that rule not only with firmness, but also with wisdom — wisdom to hear their subjects and deal with their needs. Even the challenge of rebellion cannot break their magical spell which holds together the growing minds of this great land! THE BOARD OF EDUCATION As the powers that be, the Board of Education serves as a deity to all in this abundant land. They decide what fruits of which trees of knowledge we may eat from and they are, of course, the providers of all that is good. The vast treasures sacrificed to them are always bestowed in an efficient manner. Seated: C. Burris. E. Boll. |. Brezenoff. Standing: M. Maiden. J. Van Houten. R. Meagher. MR. MICHAEL MAIDEN Superintendent of Schools The behind the scenes wizardry of our superintendent does not lend to familiarity with the students. Ordinarily that is. Along with mastering the section of the East Rockaway Spell Book marked Superintendent’s Duties,” Mr. Merlin has always been a friendly face accompanied by a cheerful incantation or two. His taking time from a busy schedule to participate in the district musicals is an example of his sincere interest and concern. MR. ROBERT JACOBY Director of Special Education The good Prince Jacoby rides throughout the land upon his great white horse named Hope, seeking out those requiring a very special education in our wonderful land of learning. He rides to all three provinces with the king’s blessing and protection, giving help to all those needing it as well as those needing to give it. Although without arcane powers he seems to cast a spell equaling, at times the Wizard himself.
