Dear Mr. Herschenhous, As with every time period, such as the seventies, there are constant changes taking place. Every day brings new problems to be solved, and new goals to be reached. In order for a society or class to survive, there must be people who are willing to give of themselves for the benefit of all. These people must be strong, energetic, and dedicated people who give a lot more than is required of them. In you we found an advisor who not only possessed these qualities, but also one who could understand us and be patient with us through our learning process. You showed us that with a little effort, what seemed to be a far-fetched goal could become reality. As our last year with you comes to a close, one can easily reflect on the many times that you helped us help ourselves. Our memories of you as an advisor and a friend will stay with us long after the seventies are gone. In order to show our appreciation for your effort, we, the Class of ’78, would like to dedicate to you our edition of The Rock. With love. The Class of ’78
